# $NIMBUS

$NBS is our main token and is at the heart of the entire Nimbus Finance ecosystem. Our main goal is to distribute attractive rewards while making the $NBS deflationary via the mechanisms detailed in[Deflationary Model](/nimbus-finance/deflationary-model/smart-fees.md).\

To be eligible for distributed rewards you will need to lock your $NBS by creating a node represented by an NFT cf [Passive income NFTs](/nimbus-finance/tokenomic/passive-income-nfts.md).\
\
At the creation of your position for each $NBS lock, you will receive 1[$veNIMBUS](/nimbus-finance/tokenomic/usdvenimbus.md)which will allow you to vote on the direction the protocol should take and especially on the rewards distributed.\
\
The initial liquidity of the USDC/NBS pair will be provided by the team which means that no presale will take place for our protocol, all details are in[Initial Liquidity](/nimbus-finance/tokenomic/initial-liquidity.md).\
